A catalogue featuring interviews, documentation, and analysis of a series of performances curated by Victoria Singh as part of the Western Front performance art program from May 2, 2002 to November 20, 2003. The series was inspired by the public perception of performance art as “a flaky form of primitive ritual in execution and aesthetic,” and curated with the aim to investigate ritual in contemporary performance art. The artists included are Reona Brass, Sharon Alward, Linda Montano, Jamie McMurry, Rebecca Belmore, Julie Andrée Tremblay, and Lezli Rubin Kunda.
