Biography

Victoria Singh is an artist, curator, teacher, and writer based in New Zealand. Her current performance/installation practice is durational and community-based with particular attention to the intersections of life and art and the liminal space that these experiences generate—allowing the exploration of conscious and unconscious relations between conceptual intent, time, location, Self and Other. Singh spent eleven years in Canada teaching pre-school art, developing her performance art practice, and curating a performance art program at Western Front in Vancouver, where she wrote, edited, and published Ritual in Contemporary Performance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University in New Zealand and a Master of Arts in Graduate Liberal Studies from Simon Fraser University in Canada.
