A sheathed sword lies on the ground. The image is rendered in a way that suggests a period romance or similar context. The photograph is printed on light brown large format fibre-based paper with unfinished and noticeably curling edges, furthering the work's antique quality. Underneath the image the work title, artist's name, and year of work are handwritten in cursive. It is fastened to the wall by two nails driven through small grommets in the upper corners of the paper.
