Creative Access Description

Colour portrait image showing a photographic print hanging on the white wall of a gallery space.
The print features a black and white image of two people sharing an intimate moment. In the foreground a feminine person with blonde hair in an up do and wearing a light coloured evening gown kneels with their arms at their sides and their head turned to their left and back, eyes closed. Behind them, a masculine person with shoulder length dark hair wearing buckled boots, black trousers, and a flowy white shirt crouches, their hands caressing their partner in the act of removing the gown to expose their breasts. A sheathed sword lies on the ground. The image is rendered in a way that suggests a period romance or similar context. The photograph is printed on light brown large format fibre-based paper with unfinished and noticeably curling edges, furthering the work's antique quality. Underneath the image the work title, artist's name, and year of work are handwritten in cursive. It is fastened to the wall by two nails driven through small grommets in the upper corners of the paper.
