About the Program

In this multimedia performance, Jay McLaughlin explores her relationship with the male members of her family: her brother and father. It is a study of the masculine aspects in her family tree. Men, death, and the RCMP.

McLaughlin has been a staple on the performance scene in Vancouver for several years. Her work places her between stand up and performance. Funny, harsh, and personal, she often reveals too much. grunt is pleased to present her first solo. This will be McLaughlin's farewell as she is planning to spend six months in Japan.
