Biography

J McLaughlin is a shy, queer anarcho-bourgeois musician and performer from Victoria, BC. They have been entertaining, enthralling, and occasionally terrorizing burlesque, drag, stand-up, theatrical, and music audiences for over 20 years. Working from deep within an incandescent cathedral of optimistic rage, McLaughlins solo performances use intimate narrative, dark humour, and wild ribaldry to deconstruct the cognitive dissonance of living within a cisheteronormative imperialist white supremacist capitalist patriarchy.
