About the Program
These drawings and paintings from The Stick Pile Series were proceeded by a year of Sachi Yamabe collecting sticks and another six months of looking at them. The collection came to be quite large; the collecting being an enjoyable and meaningful event; the growth of the pile becoming an aim in itself. Before finally returning the sticks, the mound was drawn and painted.Artist
