Pinata

September 22 – October 3, 1987
Exhibition

About the Program

Jean Higinbotham's Pinata consisted of 16 collages made from found objects, including paper, photographs, foil, and other sparkling materials, that have been processed to give a variety of textures, colours, and forms. 5 piñatas from coloured papers, each one representing a mythological form, were also included, inspired by the artist's recent heartwarming visit to Mexico. The exhibition marked grunt's third anniversary and was guest curated by Marion Barling.
