Creative Access Description
A colour landscape image of three mouldy gelatin sculptures sitting on top of paper mache platforms at different heights with stalky golden-brown tendrils that snake down resembling tree branches. The gelatin sculptures originally had the shape of a small bell jar but have now drooped and sagged, sinking into its shape. They have flower petals, syringes, metal chains and limeflower embedded within them which are mostly obscured by white and pale-green fuzzy mould covering the exposed gelatin. Dried leaves, wilting spindly weed-like plants, and browning clusters of white flowers border the three murky, mould-covered gelatin sculptures. The different states of decay imply the amount of time that has passed since the installation of the work. A bright and dramatic light shining down on the rotting and deteriorating natural elements of the work creates a sense of ephemerality.~root~>Description
