Creative Access Description
A colour landscape close-up image of a gelatin sculpture installed in a gallery space. The gelatin sculpture sits on top of a paper mache platform with a stalky golden-brown tendril that snakes down, resembling a tree branch. The sculpture has the shape of a small bell jar with metal chains, flowering plants and syringes embedded within it. The translucent and slippery quality of the exposed gelatin along with the browning of the plants within the gelatin, implies a state of decay and ephemerality. Dried leaves and clusters of dried and browning white flowers, possibly baby’s breath, border the murky, yellow-tinted gelatin.~root~>
