Creative Access Description

A colour landscape close-up image of a gelatin sculpture installed in a gallery space with white walls and cement floors. The gelatin sculpture sits on top of a paper mache platform with stalky golden-brown tendrils, resembling tree branches. The sculpture has the shape of a small bell jar with metal chains, flower petals and a green grassy plant embedded within it. The translucent and slippery quality of the exposed gelatin imbues a sense of ephemerality. Dried leaves, spindly weed-like plants, possibly a carrot flower, and clusters of white flowers, possibly baby’s breath, border the murky, yellow-tinted gelatin.
