Creative Access Description

Black and white landscape oriented image of a woman in the midst of an aerial performance. The woman is white with straight dark hair hanging past her shoulders. She wears a white leotard with full sleeves and white robing hanging from her arms and waist giving her the appearance of a ghost or spirit. She is suspended in mid air by a thick cable wrapped in cloth and anchored to a rafter. She faces profile with respect to the camera and has her arms outstretched to her front and right, palms open and fingers spread. Her knees are bent and her toes are pointed in a kind of ballet form. A wireless microphone is attached to her waist. She hangs close to the corner of a white painted room with exposed rafters, cinder block walls, and windows that have been blocked and painted over, suggesting a warehouse or other industrial space. Two spotlights are affixed to a nearby rafter and illuminate the performance, casting ghostly shadows on both walls. A single audience member, a white man with short hair and a white button up shirt is in the lower right corner of the frame, cropped from the chest up, gazing intently at the performance.
