Creative Access Description

A colour portrait image of a large, 18.5 feet long quilt made of old bed sheet fabric, placed in the corner of the space, facing towards the left of the image. The quilt is suspended from the ceiling and drapes over the floor. Behind the piece, the corner of the space is covered with black backdrop that hangs from ceiling to floor. The quilt consists of square patches of fabric with different shades of red, brown and white, arranged in an Irish Chain pattern with the red patches forming the criss cross lines. The quilt has a border made up of brown and white patches with a double triangle pattern in each square. There are brownish patterns and images printed on to the fabric. The edge of the slide film creates a black border around the image.
