Black and white landscape oriented image of a Cree woman. The photo is shot close up with only the woman's upper torso, head, and arms in the frame. She holds her arms up, elbows slightly bent and wrists crossed above her head with her hands in loose fists. She wears a dark coloured sleeveless unitard with a low cut neck. Her long dark hair hangs in a number of strands braided together with light coloured ribbons. She has a pained expression on her face and her eyes are obscured in the shadows of their sockets, giving the image a dramatic emotive effect. Behind her is the white corner of the gallery space with the edge of a loft space at the top of the wall.Description
