About the Program

The final LIVE 2003 panel at grunt gallery, Trauma and Endurance engaged panelists and the audience in a discussion of laden performance: durational works addressing heavy topics, and their effect on performers. Alastair MacLennan, Boris Nieslony, and Roi Vaara are all members of Black Market International, a loosely-organized performance art collective founded by Nieslony and others in 1985 with the aim of enacting an open exchange of ideas via the art of encounter. Moderated by Irene Loughlin.
