About the Program

The Performance Art Cabaret at the Vogue Theatre was the kickoff event for LIVE at the End of the Century, the first LIVE Biennial of Performance Art. Organized by Glenn Alteen and Brice Canyon, this event continued a tradition of cabaret productions at grunt gallery dating back to the late 1980 and featured a selection of talent from Vancouver and beyond. The event was emceed by Jay McLaughlin and featured Libeatos (Katya Gorrie, Richard Spencer, Simon Frisk, and Elliot Polsky) as the house band, along with performers Warren Arcand, Margaret Dragu, John Boehme, Anthony Favel McNab, Jeet-Kei Leung, Carellin Brooks, Aiyyana Maracle with DB Boyko, Tagny Duff, The Human Faux Pas (Clay Hastings and Adad Hannah), Kokoro Dance (Jay Hirabayashi and Barbara Bourget), 'I, Braineater,' Stephen Anthony, Christine Taylor, and more.
