About the Program
give her a face was a group exhibition featuring works by Joi Arcand, Felicia Gay, and Chrystal Kruszelnicki. All the artists are women of Métis and First Nations decent, each relating to their identity differently. give her a face explored the relationships between identity and perception in terms of community, and Indigenous women versus their place in the realm of the media. The work give her a face: Moon Lake series was a response to how the Canadian public and specifically the Saskatoon public did not respond to the deaths of numerous Indigenous women. ~root~>Coordinator
