About the Program
Positive+ was an extensive community activist project meant to provide a forum for addressing issues relating to AIDS in the post-cocktail era and the silence surrounding HIV that had historically characterized the Vancouver art scene. The project included a series of intensives and workshops, open-call and curated group exhibitions, and several installations and performances, all of which acted as the foundation for community discussion. Among the works presented were an installation by Nhan duc Nguyen at the Roundhouse where participants created remembrances to loved ones by folding small paper boats, and two performances exploring the experience of living with HIV/AIDS by Oraf and Zachery Longboy.~root~>Identifier
