About the Program
Since the early 1980s, André Stitt has collected photo snapshots of people and places in his adopted community in London and wherever he traveled making performances. As such these images function as a connection with a moment, a memory; as cultural artifacts and signifiers of events. The photos are reconstituted and recontextualized along with text to create the White Trash installation specific to grunt gallery and LIVE. Stitt gave a tour of the exhibition at its opening on November 14, 2003.~root~>Artist
