About the Program

12 Midnite's Fireworks explores the combination of creative and destructive forces inherent in fire that continue to shape our world. Through the use of fire as a medium for art making, Midnite captures the essence of the art's original purpose: to transfix and mesmerize the viewer as it tells its story. The emotions stirred in us by being near fire is primal and mixed: it warms but it burns. Using fire as an integral element of his new work, Midnite brings all the emotions that come along with fire to his trademark political-pop style, giving it a sense of urgency and danger.
