About the Program
Curated by Haruko Okano, Fox Shrine is a series of collagraph prints that draw on a mixture of the imaginary earth spirits of the artist Taiga Chiba's childhood and memories of Shinto festivals and shrines. Born in Japan and now living in Vancouver, Chiba uses printmaking to explore his own cultural identity and spirituality as it transplanted into Canadian society.~root~>Artist
