Unofficially Scheduled Show, During Summer Break

August 1993
Exhibition

About the Program

An exhibition during grunt's summer break, Brian Howell's Unofficially Scheduled Show, During Summer Break included silver gelatin bromide based and selenium toned photographs dealing with the traditional lifestyles of the residents of a small outport village in the Placentia West region of Newfoundland. The region had been ignored by the federal government with regards to the funding package imposed in the summer of 1992. The size of the prints ranged from 5x7 to 11x14 and were mounted as a LIFE Magazine style essay, including text.
