About the Program

The Two Walls exhibition presented two large works in assemblage. Ken Gerberick's Crushed Wall (1988) and Marcia Pitch's Off the Wall (1992) make strong statements about consumerism and mass production. Walls become powerful metaphors—the products make visible the tensions and contradictions that attend these icons of our culture.
