Orra Ramus

June 20 – July 1, 1989
Exhibition

About the Program

Paul Calder's sculpture has grown out of his interest in sculptural ceramics. His use of wood, stone, and found objects come together in a body of work that is unique and captivating. The title of the exhibition, Orra Ramus, literally means "odd branch" and represents a branching of the artist's work. Through the utilization of space, the juxtaposition of objects (both familiar and unfamiliar), combined with the shifting of focal points, Calder hopes to create tension and intrigue that carry the viewer into previously unexperienced realms of thought.
