False Face: A Mask Show

April 1 – 12, 1986
Exhibition

About the Program

The second annual mask show, following the success of last year's False Face. Masks are all things in all cultures and virtually all societies interpret them differently. From humorous to the grotesque; the surreal to the sublime, masks cover the range of human emotion and expression. They speak to the mortal and immortal in each of us and somehow represent the place where the two intersect.
