New Art

March 2 – 9, 1985
Exhibition

About the Program

The spring New Art exhibition came on the heels of Graham's highly-successful autumn New Work at grunt. Smaller this time, the paintings are composed on unstretched canvas and are renditions of the spaces Graham inhabits and the people he lives with. Expressionistic in style, these emotional works show the artist's interaction with the people and places that compose his life. When asked about style, Graham describes the pieces as "depressionistic." The opening included a showing of painted clothing by Graham, Eric Metcalfe, and two other artists.
