Exhibition

About the Program

False Face: Third Annual Mask Show included 65 different masks submitted for exhibition. Masks are such an integral part oh human expression. They both defy and define limits; they cross all cultures and art forms. They are art objects in themselves and a performer's tool in dance, theatre, and religious ceremony. They are a part of human intercourse and a part of daily life; they stretch from prehistory to the present. This show demonstrated the part of what masks mean, from one on your face to the timeless masks presented by the collective unconscious.
