About the Program
The Human Voice features a woman in a nightdress, a telephone, and one last call. With these elements Jean Cocteau weaves a web of truths and fictions. The telephone becomes a willful unmanageable instrument as she struggles to control it and herself in her last desperate attempt to speak to a love already fallen through her fingers. Starring in the role is Billy Gene, this year's Mr. Alternate. This is a return to theatre for Billy who has been working successfully in and out of drag singing and lip-synching, playing piano, and dancing at various venues about Vancouver. Direction by Glenn Alteen and design by Stephen Anthony.~root~>Curator
