Creative Access Description
A colour landscape image of works installed in a gallery space with its north and west walls painted in dark grey while the east wall is in plain gallery white. The gallery also has a black leather bench in the middle of the room and cement floors. On the west wall, there are photographs varying in size and orientation mounted on the wall in a salon-style hang. The photographs consist of mugshots from the City of Vancouver’s archive juxtaposed with portraits of Black and African self-identifying people. The north wall has white vinyl lettering in a serif font displaying the title of the exhibition. On the east wall, on the far right edge of the frame, there is a dark grey rectangle painted on the wall with white vinyl text on top. The text has the title “figures” in a large serif font at the top followed by a list of works in a small serif font.~root~>Description
