A colour portrait image of a large-scale studio photograph in portrait orientation mounted on a white wall in a gallery space. The photograph shows an Anishinaabe woman who appears to be suspended in the air in a sitting position with her back against a creased and crumpled craft paper background that gathers around her and covers her body like a cloak, blending into her beige-coloured clothing. She has long dark hair and is looking into the distance with a neutral expression on her face. With her hands, she is embracing a gnarled log that curves down between her legs and under her foot. Her other leg and most of her body are enveloped by the craft paper, giving the illusion of her body being engulfed by the craft paper background while at the same time being propped up by it.Description
