A colour landscape image of a large-scale studio photograph in landscape orientation mounted on a white wall in a gallery space. The photograph depicts an Anishinaabe woman sitting sideways on the ground facing towards the camera behind two vertical ice blocks against a crinkly grey tarp background. She is wearing a grey hoodie, with the hood and zipper up, and jeans. The palm of her left hand is placed up against the ice block on the right and the other hand rests on her thigh as she gazes into the distance beyond the camera. A rumpled blue fabric lay behind her, trailing to the left side of the image behind the ice block on the left. The two ice blocks have a glassy, crystal-clear surface allowing the subjects behind it to appear distinctly.Description
