A colour portrait close-up image of a ceramic sculpture installed in a gallery space with white walls. The sculpture is made up of vertically stacked small vessels with one part being a large, thick, clear-cut ring that sits on top of a caved-in vessel with more vessels balanced on top of the ring. There are cracks in the vessels underneath the giant ring, giving the appearance of a clay vessel that has collapsed under the weight of a heavy stone ring. They have been glazed with earthy greys and browns, resembling stoneware, with speckles and drips in certain areas.Description
