Creative Access Description
A colour portrait image of a tall ceramic vessel, about the height of an adult, installed in a gallery space with white walls and cement floors. The vessel is made up of vertically stacked smaller vessels with varying circumferences and surfaces that have been manipulated in various ways. It has been glazed with calm tones of green and blue, the glaze dripping upwards and downwards in certain areas. The surface of the vessel varies with a big gaping crack near the top, textured expanding bulges, and smooth undulating silhouettes referencing flesh, cuts, scars or bruises. The vessel stands tall, resembling a totemic figure.Description
