Creative Access Description

Colour landscape image of two walls of the gallery with murals painted on them. The south wall on the left has buildings both standing and crumbling. There is a large television painted to the right of the buildings. These drawings are black line drawings on the white walls, with pops of light blue, surrounded by a large rectangular section of black paint. Text in English is near the top of the black section in yellow block letters. Spanish is near the bottom in bright green letters. To the right of the TV is smaller black text on the white walls. On the right wall is a mural depicting two figures sitting upright in hammocks with their legs dangling over the side and one figure laying in another. These black line drawings on the white walls are also surrounded by a large rectangular section of black paint. Blue line drawings of foliage overlap these images. Lines of English text in yellow block letters are painted near the top of the black rectangle and bright green Spanish text is near the bottom. The text sections that can be read in their entirety say: 'IN A CULTURE OF / MATRIARCHS THERE / WAS ALWAYS SOMEONE / TO CARE FOR ME, / WATCH ME, / FEED / ME',  'THROUGH EACH / AND EVERY / CATASTROPHE / TO COME', and 'EN TODA CATÁSTROFE / POR VENIR.' A large black bench with silver legs sits in the centre of the gallery.
