A collaborative bookwork between visual artist Jamelie Hassan and poet Jamila Ismail created as the publication for Jamelie Hassan’s solo exhibition Two Women in One, at Presention House, North Vancouver in 1991. This bookwork examines in words and images geographical, political and cultural references to Canada, North Africa, the Middle East and China where Jamila Ismail presently resides. The work’s title is a reference to the significance of their shared name.
