Creative Access Description

Black and white portrait image showing Margo Kane, a middle aged Cree woman performing in front of a live audience. Margo has short dark hair and wears a white short sleeve dress with light frills around the hem and shoulders decorated with polka dots and an indiscernible print just above the knee. She also wears matching frilly white socks and Converse high top sneakers. She has an intense and pensive facial expression and her gaze is pointed slightly downward. Standing on a stage demarked by a circular chalk line separated from the seated audience, Margo's stance is slightly off centre, both of her hands are gathered at her waist, one holding the thumb of the other. On the floor the word 'HOME' is written in chalk and there is a pile of dirt and clumps of long grass behind her.
