Creative Access Description
A colour portrait image of three works suspended from metal flagpoles installed on the wall. The aluminum flagpoles are cut with raw edges and installed with commercial hardware. Suspended from these poles are rectangular panels, each stitched or connected in an expanded line previously folded in an accordion. All three works use inkjet on lustre paper, brown gel filters, packing and gaffer’s tape, and leather, but each incorporates various plastic and found materials. The work on the right includes wish bracelets, duct tape, acrylic paint, an LP mailer, an LP vinyl record jacket, and staples. The work in the middle features a goat drum skin, keys, an archival poly record sleeve, an artist’s book titled “it was all a dream,” a picture frame backing board, and a plastic sheet. The work on the left uses a turntable dust cover, dog tag chain, post-it notes, a quarter, a Canon camera strap, and an inkjet paper poly sleeve. Each work has a tie or plastic line that falls to the ground in a coil.~root~>Description
