Creative Access Description

A black and white landscape image of a Métis woman holding hands with a masked Snaw-Naw-As man. The woman wears a black shirt under a leather jacket with long fringes open at the front and with the sleeves rolled up to her elbow. She also wears a bandana rolled and tied as a headband holding her long black hair back from her face. She looks towards the masked man next to her with a neutral expression, her right hand crossing her body to touch the man’s hand reaching out to her. The man has long dark hair tied back in a ponytail and wears a light-coloured t-shirt and a white mask that obscures all of his face except his mouth and chin, with two slits for his eyes. The mask is sculpted to his face, and made from paper mache, plaster or a similarly textured material. His right hand touches the back of the woman’s left shoulder, tilting his head while looking at her delicately. On the left side, a half-empty glass bottle sits on top of a dark plinth. In the background is a gallery white wall.
