Creative Access Description

A black and white landscape image of two performers on stage, sharing a scene. On the left is a Six Nations woman with dark shoulder-length straight hair, wearing a white dress coat, a black long-sleeved dress with a fabric sash tied around her waist and dark leather boots along with a white mask tied around her head that covers her face except for slits for the eyes and a gap for the mouth. Her right leg is crossed in front of the other one, and her arms are held tight to the sides of her body, while her hands are stretched outward on either side, holding a scrunched-up fabric in her right hand. She fixes her gaze dramatically beyond the left edge of the image. A cubic dark wooden crate sits next to her. On the right side of the image, looking curiously at the woman is a Métis woman with long dark hair standing barefoot. She is wearing a leather jacket with long hanging fringes, shiny skin-tight leggings, and a bandana rolled and tied as a headband around her head. Her right hand is pressed against a wall while the other is held cautiously beside her body, elbows bent upwards slightly. In the background are the white gallery walls and a collage-like artwork mounted on the wall.
