Creative Access Description
A black and white landscape oriented image of a work of performance art. A three piece mariachi band dressed in black traditional costume with wide brimmed hats, performs in front of a white gallery wall on which has been painted a sketch like image of the artist Diego Rivera, crawling on all fours, as well as writing in English and Spanish: the text includes phrases such as 'In Detroit', 'Me (La Abortada)', and 'Art School' but the image does not show enough to compose a cohesive message. Two members of the mariachi band hold guitars and stand close to the wall, the third stands in front of them extending his arms at his waist and singing aloud. Around them, performance props, crouching audience members, and the edge of a stepladder that is mostly out of frame complete the scene.~root~>
