Creative Access Description

A black and white portrait oriented image of a work of performance art. A performer dressed in black robes with wide sleeves, stands in the recessed entrance way to a gallery holding a paintbrush and a palette close to his chest. On his head we wears an oversized headpiece built of paper mache to look like the artist Diego Rivera. The head is comical in its proportion to the performers body, appearing top heavy and prone to imbalance, as well as in its features: large goggly eyes, mouth slightly agape, and a scruff of dark curly hair. To either side of the performer, audience members stand, some looking at the performer himself while others appear to be looking behind him, most smiling in appreciation of the spectacle.
