Creative Access Description

A black and white landscape oriented image of a work of performance art. The photographer is situated behind two members of a Mariachi band dressed in traditional black costumes with decorative buttons on their pants and wide brimmed hats, who hold guitars and look out toward an audience that fills the small gallery space. Between the Mariachi band and the audience a comically large paper mache head in the image of artist Diego Rivera rests on its side atop a low metal scaffolding. On the gallery wall behind the Mariachi band a sketch-like painting of Diego Rivera is done in thick strokes of black ink.
