Creative Access Description

A black and white portrait oriented image of a work of performance art. In the foreground, taking up most of the frame, a performer dressed in black robes with wide sleeves holds a paintbrush and a palette close to his chest. On his head we wears an oversized headpiece built of paper mache to look like the artist Diego Rivera. The head is comical in its proportion to the performers body, appearing top heavy and prone to imbalance, as well as in its features: large goggly eyes, mouth slightly agape, and a scruff of dark curly hair. In the background two audience members stand, one smiles at the performer while the other looks down, perhaps reading something held in their hands. The white walls and ceiling of the gallery setting are illuminated by a spotlight on the left side of the image.
