Colour analogue video of a musical and spoken word performance by four white women, trans, and non-binary performers in a plain gallery space. Opening with two vocalists singing, rapping, and layering their voices over an upbeat funk guitar and subtle snare drum, the performers trade the spotlight and their instruments through a series of pieces about Queer identity, sexuality, relationships, stereotypes, coming-of-age, gender-bending, oppression, and joy. Narrative and lyric elements are used in storytelling and the musical accompaniment varies from sparse guitar riffs to intricate solos. Though the production is quite restrained, the performers appear in several costumes including suit jackets and a party dress. Humour is frequently employed and audience laughter and enthusiasm is regular and audible.Description
