Les passés et futurs troubles = Disparate Past, Uncertain Future
2006
Les passés et futurs troubles = Disparate Past, Uncertain Future, a bilingual publication, is the third and final part of the activities celebrating the 20th anniversary of Folie/Culture. It reports on the first two festive events—retroactive and prospective—that Folie/Culture organized in May 2004 and April 2005. It was important to invite people outside the organization to reflect, during Troubled Passes, on the relationship between art and society as experienced by Folie/Culture for 20 years and to react, during Troubled Futures, to a few breaking tracks. The past and future troubles bring together the texts of nine people with training and backgrounds as different as psychoanalyst, researcher, artists, professors, mental health workers, philosopher, cultural manager, psychologist, and ex-psychiatrist: Guy Blackburn, Ellen Corin, Benoît Côté, Jean-Ernest Joos, Rufus May, Alain-Martin Richard, Sylvie Royer, Denys Tremblay, and Luc Vigneault.
