Creative Access Description

Three pony walls painted in a textured light orange sit inside a larger room. A dark space with thick wooden vertical support beams show in the background above and beyond Orange Room. In the centre of the image, extending out from the back middle wall, is a platform. The platform is the same grey as the concrete floor and is surrounded by tall black stanchions. A table and two ornate chairs are placed on top of the platform. The chairs are a dark wood with a cushioned seat and some of the sections resemble bones. The table is draped in a beige lace tablecloth which has place settings on it, including two wine glasses, plates, cutlery, three servings bowls, and serving utensils. The three serving bowls have light-coloured objects inside them. The largest bowl's objects resemble dried ears of corn. Above the table, a silver chandelier-like object with no lights dangles down from a chain. Eight small triangular shapes hang down from its arms at various lengths. Behind the table, on the wall, is a large still life painting inside a thick gold frame. The painting depicts a table draped in white fabric, covered in serving platters filled with foods including citrus fruit, and possibly green apples and a lobster. Other larger vessels sit on the back on the table in partial view. On Orange Room's left wall, a large painting swings outwards from its gold frame on its left edge and projects into the space. The painting is a portrait of Elizabeth I in a bejewelled red dress and large ruffled collar. On the right wall, a similar painting also opens up on its left, but this one reveals the interior section behind the painting. A torso in a short blue dress sits in an alcove inside the painting frame.
