Creative Access Description
Blue Room is a long rectangular space with walls painted in a textured light periwinkle blue. The left wall is a shorter pony wall that doesn't reach the ceiling. The top of the wall beyond the Blue Room is a light sage green, and the ceiling of the spaces is beige with spotlights and exposed beams. The left and right blue walls are covered in squares painted to resemble arched oven crypts. These squares on the left wall run three high and eight long. They are painted in various pastel colours and most have a cross, star, or heart in their centre, with a date and name written underneath. Some of the names include Stephen Denslow, Barbara Daigneault, Rachael Teschmaker, Ruth Emo, Anne-Marie Edward, and Peter Lewis. The right wall has these same squares, running three high and three across, with names including Tom Royal, Diago Lopez, and Maud Haviernick. Beyond these crypts on the right wall, an indigo blue section, resembling a simple cathedral from the side, protrudes out and behind this is a large skeleton in the back right corner of the room. The skeleton is painted ornately in white and black, and extends almost to the ceiling. Its large shadow falls onto the back and right walls. On the back wall sits an indigo blue altar. It has three panels: two smaller outer ones and a larger central panel with a pointed trefoil arch that extends higher than the outer panels. The centre panel contains a small wrapped skeleton inside an alcove with a trefoil arch. The arch is outlined in pink. Each of the outer panels have a skull on a long blue stick protruding outwards. In the centre of the room, in front of a thick wooden support beam painted periwinkle blue, a large pink casket-shaped rectangle sits on the concrete floor. At its head is a tombstone with a cross, also painted pink, and the other three sides have a gold chain that runs from a post in each corner. The top of the casket flips down from its centre and a white and black skeleton sits up and out from it with its arms folded across its chest.~root~>Description
