Creative Access Description
Black and white landscape oriented image of an Anishinaabe woman with short dark hair, wearing a light coloured loose fitting short sleeve button up shirt and trousers cuffed just below the knees. She stands hunched over with her arms outstretched and together in front of her. In her open palms she holds some white powder which she casts, spreading a cloud of it in the air above a quantity of the same powder spread on the floor. The flash of the camera catches the airbourne powder, creating an ethereal effect agains the otherwise dark room. Shapes of audience members seated on the floor emerge from the shadows behind her. The white mat of the photo paper makes a thick border on all sides of the image.Description
