Creative Access Description

A colour landscape image of grunt gallery’s interior space. On the left side of the image, there is an 18.5 feet long quilt made of old bed sheet fabric, placed in the corner of the space, facing towards the right. The quilt is suspended from the ceiling and drapes over the floor. The quilt consists of square patches of fabric with different shades of red, brown and white, arranged in an Irish Chain pattern with the red patches forming the criss cross lines. The quilt has a border made up of brown and white patches with a double triangle pattern in each square. There are brownish patterns and images printed on to the fabric. To the right of the quilt, there is white wall with text that reads “Nine Patch Irish Chain” on the first line and “Pat Beaton” on the second line, both in black vinyl lettering with standard sans-serif font. In front of the white wall, there is a white woman with shoulder length dark brown hair wearing a white shirt and blue jeans holding a stick. The edge of the slide film creates a black border around the image.
