Gives Death Life, photo print 1

Creative Access Description
Black and white portrait oriented image of a man swinging in the air hanging from a noose around his neck, which extends up past the top of the frame. The man has light coloured long curly hair that falls over his face and wears a tailcoat in the British military style with a wide belt around the waist, long pants, and boots. He hangs at a slight angle clockwise with respect to the frame, his legs together and straightened, and his arms hanging straight at his sides due to the momentum of swinging. In the foreground a cluster of irregular candles burns in a candelabra. Behind the candelabra sits a circus walking globe with a geometric pattern. Smoke permeates the image, obscuring the details of the performer and the audience in the background and giving the entire image a ghostly macabre mood. The white mat of the photo paper makes a thick border on all sides of the image.~root~>Description
