Creative Access Description
Black and white landscape oriented image of a Hopi, Apache and Mi'kmaq woman dancing on an otherwise empty stage. She stands in the centre of the frame with her body facing the camera, leaning all the way forward at the waist so that her torso is parallel with the floor. Her left leg is planted on the ground at an obtuse angle to her right leg, which fully extends directly behind and above her. Her right arm reaches down toward the floor while her left arm extends to the side and backward in balance. She wears a black unitard with full legs and sleeves and a single black glove on her right hand. Behind her and to her left, her blanket is heaped on the floor and her white mask lies beside it face up. She gazes down at the floor, her face wearing a look of concentration beneath her short black hair. The backdrop of the stage is shrouded in shadow.~root~>Description
